Carlo
M. Taboada. M.D. is the Director of Clinical Research. The
scope of his activities includes both academic and pharmaceutical
research.
He is
a frequent contributor to Gastroenterology, the official journal
of the American Gastroenterology Association. He is on the
Board of Directors of Crohns & Colitis Foundation of America
(CCFA).
Dr. Taboada
received his medical doctorate from the University of Monterrey
in Monterrey, Mexico. He completed his residency at Southwest
Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. A Laredo native, he spent
a year following his formal education serving the medical
needs of underprivileged people in rural and isolated parts
of Mexico.
Dr. Taboada is
on consulting panels and speaker bureaus of several pharmacy
companies and author of many scientific publications. He
is a co-recipient of the 2005 Presidential Award.
